Echelon by Josh Conviser - Quick Review

Didn’t like this one. It had some neat ideas, but a bunch of uninteresting characters, plot twists and lame scenes just pulled this book down to below average.

It just seemed like the characters weren’t all that deeply thought out and the main protagonists journey just wasn’t involving enough. I just didn’t care. (more…)

Two Bands I Found Recently That Rock

Back Door Slam

Both these bands (albeit Oli Brown being a solo artist) play Blues-rock and both of them really do it well. Two young groups out there taking there own stab at the Blues and I can’t get enough of them. (more…)

Hancock - What A Waste of a Good Idea!

So I saw Hancock this week. Was pretty excited about it, I really liked the idea - or at least, the idea the trailer lead me to believe to movie would be about.

A drunken, homeless superhero whom doesn’t really give a shit about anyone or anything.

Aww, shit! I done got mahself da’ BLUES!

Another Saturday, another music filled day lacking in productivity. Today I’m making the most out of my Rhapsody subscription by listening to some Blues.

Now, I’m not talking about the blues that everybody knows about. I won’t be listening to any B.B. King, Robert Cray, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan or even Joe Bonamassa and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. No, I’m delving deeper. I’m going where not enough people go. The lesser known performers, the new kids on the block and the oldies that never hit the big time. (more…)
